The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Igatsby read this book after I saw the last movie made. One of the things that I found remarkable is that, despite the “modern” way in which the film was made, and the background music that I remember some people didn’t find suitable to the period, the story, the dialogues, the essence of the book was there, and while I was reading it I was playing the movie in my head.

About the time I bought the book but hadn’t read it yet, I found a lot of articles about it, which I had to refuse to read until I got my eyes on the book. One of those articles presented the theory that Gatsby is actually a black man, and explained some allegations in favor and against it. It’s a story definitely worth of more than one reading.
